Islamic Solidarity Games: Iran’s Mixed Team 10m Air Rifle Bags Silver
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Iran’s mixed team 10m air rifle claimed a silver medal at the 4th Islamic Solidarity Games in Baku on Sunday.
The Iranian team consisting of Pouria Norouzian and Najmeh Khedmati lost to Bangladesh 5-1 in the event’s final match and claimed a silver medal.
Bronze medal went to Turkish team who defeated Iran’s Hossein Bagheri and Narjes Emamgholinejad.
More than 3,000 athletes from 54 countries of the Islamic Solidarity Sports Federation are competing in 21 sports at the Games which run through May 22.
The Baku 2017 Islamic Solidarity Games started May 8 and will last until May 22 in Azerbaijan’s capital.
