Iran Rail Expo 2017 Kicks Off in Tehran
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The 5th International Exhibition of Rail Transportation, Related Industries, and Equipment (Iran RAIL EXPO 2017) opened in the Iranian capital of Tehran on Monday.
About 300 foreign and domestic companies working in the area of rail transport have participated in the international exhibition that started its work at the Tehran International Permanent Fairground today.
During the international expo, which will last until May 18, exhibitors from Sweden, Switzerland, Belgium, France, India, Ukraine, New Zealand, Turkey, Italy, Latvia, Spain, Russia, the Czech Republic, China, Germany, and Serbia are showcasing their latest achievements and products.
On the sidelines of the exhibition, the 5th International Conference on Recent Advances in Railway Engineering is slated to be held with domestic and foreign experts on rail transport in attendance.
In recent years, Iran has made great advances in its rail transport system, connecting the country’s rail network to those of neighboring countries, including Azerbaijan.
