Islamic Solidarity Games: Iranian Women Shooters Win Three Medals
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian shooters claimed one gold, one silver and one bronze medal at the women's 50m rifle 3 positions of the 4th Islamic Solidarity Games in Baku on Monday.
Iranian trio Najmeh Khedmati, Elaheh Ahmadi and Mahlagha Jambozorg won the gold, silver and bronze respectively.
Narjes Andevari Emamgholinejad in the 10-metre air rifle, karate fighters Nasrin Dousti and Sajjad Ganjzadeh, and judoka Saeid Mollaei have previously won four gold medals for Iran.
More than 3,000 athletes from 54 countries of the Islamic Solidarity Sports Federation are competing in 21 sports at the Games.
The Baku 2017 Islamic Solidarity Games started May 8 and will last until May 22 in Azerbaijan’s capital.
