Assassins of Iranian Cops Arrested
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) arrested those behind the killing of two Iranian police officers in the southwestern province of Khuzestan.
IRGC provincial commander General Hossein Shahvarpour said on Tuesday that his forces have detained the terrorists who had killed the two police officers in Ahvaz early on Monday.
Local police authorities had announced that a number of unknown gunmen opened fire at a police station in the city in the wee hours of Monday and fled the scene.
Two police officers were killed in the attack and another one was injured.
The two martyrs were laid to rest in Ahvaz on Tuesday morning.
