Islamic Solidarity Games: Iranian Divers Win Gold Medal
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Iran’s diving pair Shahnam Nazarpour and Mojtaba Valiporu won the gold medal in the men’s synchronized 3m springboard at Baku 2017 on Friday.
The Iranian team emerged victorious with 334.08 points.
The silver medal went to Indonesian duo Tri Priambodo and Aldiansyah Rafi who scored 330.30 points.
Azerbaijan’s Artem Danilov and Dmitriy Sorokin captured bronze medal with 297.90 points.
More than 3,000 athletes from 54 countries of the Islamic Solidarity Sports Federation are competing in 21 sports at the Games.
The Baku 2017 Islamic Solidarity Games started May 8 and will last until May 22 in Azerbaijan’s capital.
