Hamas: Al-Aqsa Operation 'A Natural Reaction' to Israeli Terrorism

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Friday operation by three young Palestinians in the AL-Aqsa mosque was a natural response to the Zionist regime’s state-sponsored terrorism and its insult to the holy mosque, a senior Palestinian Hamas official aid.

Three Palestinians and two Israelis were killed in an armed clash in the Old City of occupied East al-Quds (East Jerusalem) early on Friday morning.

According to Israeli police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld, three Palestinians carried out a shooting attack at the Lions’ Gate at around 7:00 a.m. on Friday, killing two Israeli police officers.

Speaking about the event, Sami Abu Zuhri, a Hamas spokesman, said that the message of operation was that “al-Quds Intifada”, would continue and it showed that the Palestinian nation is united in support of the resistance.

Meanwhile, the Hamas Spokesman Hazem Qassem said that the Al-Aqsa mosque operation proved that the young Palestinians are tend to sacrifice their life to protect the holy mosque against occupiers’ insults.

The operation was an answer to occupation of the Palestine and insult to the Palestinian nation sanctities, he added.

The official said, “Al-Aqsa operation showed that nothing can stop ‘al-Quds Intifada’.”

The operation showed the direction to the Palestinian nation and neutralized the Palestinian Authority (PA) efforts to relinquish main parts of Al-Aqsa mosque, he noted.

Qassem said that “al-Quds Intifada” would continue until the end of occupation and freedom of all Palestinian lands.”

The deadly incident took place as Israeli forces killed an 18-year-old Palestinian early on Friday during a detention raid in the al-Duheisha refugee camp in the occupied West Bank district of Bethlehem, raising the toll of Palestinians killed by Israelis in 2017 to 43.

Eight Israelis have been killed by Palestinians during the same time period.
