Nearly 8,000 Troops to Take Part in Russia's Trans Baikal Military Drills in July

TEHRAN (Tasnim) - About 8,000 servicemen and 3,000 military vehicles will be involved in Russia's Eastern Military District drills at the end of July.

Nearly 8,000 servicemen and 3,000 military vehicles will be involved in large-scale military drills of Russia's Eastern Military District at the end of July in Russia's Zabaykalsky Krai, the district's press service said on Wednesday.

"The military drills will start at the end of July at the Tsugol military range… Up to 8,000 servicemen, up 50 aircraft and helicopters, over 3,000 military vehicles, will be involved in the drills, " the statement said, Sputnik reported.

The statement noted that, in particular, the Iskander mobile missile systems, Т-72B3 tanks, BMP-2 infantry fighting vehicles will be engaged in the drills.

The military exercises will train the organization of military vehicles marches, practice establishing communication and train the actions of troops in defense and offensive.
