Saudi Warplanes Continue to Hit Civilian Areas across Yemen

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Saudi warplanes targeted two residential areas in the Yemeni capital of Sana’a, killing and injuring a large group of civilians in the impoverished Arab country.

The fighter jets launched three raids on Sanhan and Bani Bahlul districts in Sana’a, a local official told Saba new agency on Monday.

The strikes caused heavy damage to properties of citizens and claimed the lives of dozens of them, the official added.

In a separate development, the district of Khamer in Yemen's northwestern province of Amran was pounded by the kingdom’s military aircraft several times.

Yemen’s defenseless people have been under massive attacks by the coalition for more than two years but Riyadh has reached none of its objectives in Yemen so far.

Since March 2015, Saudi Arabia and some of its Arab allies have been carrying out deadly airstrikes against the Houthi Ansarullah movement in an attempt to restore power to the fugitive former president Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi, a close ally of Riyadh.

Over 12,000 Yemenis, including thousands of women and children, have lost their lives in the deadly military campaign.
