Togo’s Doors Open to Iranian Companies: Minister

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Togolese Foreign Minister Robert Dussey expressed the African country’s willingness to enhance ties with Iran in all fields, saying the Iranian businesses are welcome in Togo.

In a meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif in Tehran, Dussey said his country is eager to expand relations with the Islamic Republic in all arenas.

Togo would be happy to see the Iranian companies boost their economic activities in the African nation, the visiting minister added.

For his part, Zarif voiced Iran’s readiness to promote political, economic and cultural cooperation with Togo, calling for closer interaction within the framework of the international organizations, specially the UN and the Non-Aligned Movement.

Dussey has travelled to Iran to attend Iranian President Hassan Rouhani’s inauguration, due to be held at the parliament on Saturday evening.
