President Rouhani Congratulates Singapore on National Day
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian President Hassan Rouhani in a message cabled to his Singaporean counterpart Tony Keng Yam extended his congratulations on the Southeast Asian country’s National Day.
In the message, released on Wednesday, the president congratulated Singapore’s National Day to the people and government of the country.
Rouhani voiced the hope that in continuation of the current good relations between Iran and Singapore, the two countries witness deeper friendly ties in all bilateral, regional and international fields in the future.
The president further wished success and health for his Singaporean counterpart and prosperity and glory for the country’s people.
The National Day of Singapore is celebrated every year on August 9, in commemoration of the country's independence from Malaysia in 1965.
