Iran to Play S. Korea at FIVB Volleyball World Championship Qualification Opener

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran will start the 2018 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship qualification with a match against South Korea in Pool A on Friday.

The competition will kick off on Thursday at the Hossein Rezazadeh Stadium in Ardabil, Iran.

The FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship qualification has brought five teams, namely Iran, South Korea, China, Qatar and Kazakhstan together.

The top two teams in each pool will qualify for the 2018 World Championship.

Japan and Australia have already booked their place in the championship as the Pool B top two finishers. 

“We are ready for the competition since we want to book a place in the next year’s FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Championship,” Iran coach Igor Kolakovic said.
