Iran Beaten by Thailand at Asian Women's Volleyball Championship

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran suffered its second successive loss at the Asian Women's Volleyball Championship.

On Thursday, the Iranian team lost to Thailand in straight sets (25–18, 25–12, 25–16) in Pool D.

In the same group, Chinese Taipei outclassed Maldives 3-0.

Iran, who had lost to Chinese Taipei in its first match, will face Maldives on Friday.

The 2017 Asian Women's Volleyball Championship is being held from 9 to 17 August 2017 in the Philippines.

The matches are being held in two cities, namely Binan and Manila.
