Iran Beats Hong Kong at Asian Women’s Volleyball Championship

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran defeated Hong Kong 3-1 (21-25, 25-19, 25-18, 25-15) at the 19th Asian Senior Women’s Volleyball Championship on Tuesday.

Mahsa Saberi top scored Iran with 24 points at the Muntinlupa Sports Complex.

The Iranian team will play Australia on Wednesday to determine what nation will take the 9th place.

The Persians have been beaten by Chinese Taipei (3-1), Thailand (3-0) and Australia (3-1) and defeated the Maldives (3-0) and Hong Kong in the competition so far.

The 2017 Asian Women's Volleyball Championship is being held from 9 to 17 August 2017 in the Philippines.

The matches are being held in two cities, namely Binan and Manila.
