Petrochimi Overpowers Mono Vampire at FIBA Asia Champions Cup
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Petrochimi Iran outclassed Mono Vampire Thailand 111-60 at the FIBA Asia Champions Cup 2017 on Monday.
Petrochimi will play Chooks-To-Go Philippines on Tuesday.
Willie Warren led five Petrochmi players in double-figure scoring with 20 points, while Navid Niktash and Sajjad Mashayekhi each dropped 16 points. Young big man Meysam Mirzaei also turned a lot of heads by notching 14 points, 15 rebounds and 3 steals.
As for Mono Vampire, it drew a combined 23 points from Mike Singletary.
The 2017 FIBA Asia Champions Cup is the 26th staging of the FIBA Asia Champions Cup, the international basketball club tournament of FIBA Asia.
The tournament takes place in Chenzhou, China from 22 September to 30 September 2017.
This is second straight year that China hosts the tournament.
