Syrian Forces Liberate Areas in Central Provinces, Killing Dozens of Terrorists

DEIR EZ-ZOR (Tasnim) – The Syrian army backed by allied forces managed to recapture some villages and townships in the central provinces of Homs and Hama from terrorists, killing dozens of the foreign-backed militants, Syrian sources said.

According to Tasnim dispatches, the Syrian troops and allied forces liberated several villages and townships in the eastern outskirts of Hama from Takfiri terrorists.

The Syrian forces also managed to liberate several other villages on the outskirts of Homs, including Tal Shihab, from the Daesh (ISIS or ISIL) terrorist group.

During the operations, heavy casualties were inflicted on the terrorists with dozens of them killed and many others injured.

Syria has been gripped by civil war since March 2011 with various terrorist groups, including Daesh, currently controlling parts of it.

According to a report by the Syrian Center for Policy Research, the conflict has claimed the lives of over 470,000 people, injured 1.9 million others, and displaced nearly half of the country’s pre-war population of about 23 million within or beyond its borders.
