Iran Vice Champion at WDF World Cup Youth

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran finished in second place at the World Dart Federation (WDF) World Cup 2017.

The Iranian team claimed two gold medals and one bronze in the competition held in Kobe, Japan from Oct. 3 to 7.

Iran came second with 198 points behind the Netherlands who scored 275 points.

Republic of Ireland finished in third place with 184 points.

In the boys’ singles division, Amirali Goodarzi from Iran lost to Wessel Nijman from the Netherlands 5-2 and won the bronze medal.

Iran women pair consisting of Deniz Hashtbaran and Mahshad Avazzadeh defeated Lerena Rietbergen and Layla Brussels from the Netherlands 6-5 to win gold.

Hashtbaran also seized Iran’s second gold after beating Katie Sheldon 6-4 in girls’ singles.
