Iranian Woman Rider Dehghan Joins UAE’s Al Asayl
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian cyclist Mandana Dehghan has joined the UAE’s women’s cycling team Al Asayl.
The Iranian woman will take part in the competition wearing the hijab. Dehghan’s main sport is triathlon and she finished in seventh places in the world championship last year.
Al Asayl is a women’s cycling team in the UAE – and not only is it on a mission to win races, it wants to unearth the next generation of talent as well.
Dehghan is the first-ever Iranian woman cyclist to join a foreign cycling club.
She will participate at the cycling competition in Thailand on October 21.
