Russian President to Visit Iran by Year-End: Report

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Russian President Vladimir Putin plans to visit Iran by the end of this year, a report said.

Putin will take part in a meeting with his counterparts from Iran and Azerbaijan during the visit, the TASS news agency quoted Kremlin aide Yuri Ushakov as saying on Thursday.

"That will be a trilateral Iran-Russia-Azerbaijan meeting," he said.

On November 23, 2015, Russian President Vladimir Putin visited the Iranian capital, Tehran.

During his trip, he met with Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei shortly after arrival in Tehran. Putin also sat down with President Hassan Rouhani.
