Iran’s Saeid Mollaei Bags Bronze at IJF Grand Slam
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Saeid Mollaei of Iran claimed a bronze medal at the second day of the International Judo Federation (IJF) Grand Slam in Abu Dhabi on Friday.
The Iranian judoka defeated Mongolian Nyamsuren Dagvasuren after two minutes and eight seconds of golden score with a ko-soto-gake which earned a match-winning waza-ari score in the men’s under 81 kilogram division at the IPIC Arena in the United Arab Emirates’ city.
The Netherlands’ Frank De Wit won the gold medal after beating Mongolia’s Uuganbaatar Otgonbaatar.
The competition has brought 277 judokas from 47 countries together.
