FIVB World Club Volleyball Harder than Olympics: Mehdi Mahdavi

TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Sarmayeh Bank setter Mehdi Mahdavi says that the FIVB Men’s World Club Volleyball Championship is harder than the Olympic Games.

The Iranian team has been drawn along with Sada Cruzeiro of Brazil, Italian Cucine Lube Civitanova and Poland’s ZAKSA Kedzierzyn-Kozle.

The competition will be held in Poland from Dec. 11 to 17.

With four wins and 12 points, Sarmayeh Bank has emerged as the top team of the Premier League of Iran.

“We are all trying our best for the possible best performance in Poland,” Mahdavi said.

“I think, the upcoming tournament will be much harder than the Olympic Games because the world’s best players are playing in the world’s best clubs and all of them will also enter the fray there,” he added.
