Syria will press ahead with the fight against Takfiri terrorists and their supporters until final victory and return of peace and stability to the entire country, Muallem said in a meeting with Ali Akbar Velayati, an adviser to Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, held in Damascus on Monday.
The Syrian minister also expressed gratitude to Iran for supporting his country.
Muallem and Velayati then explored avenues for the expansion of relations between the two countries and also discussed the latest developments in Syria and the region.
Velayati visited Lebanon before travelling to Syria for a series of political meetings.
