Iranian Men’s, Women’s Teams Come 3rd at Asian Kabaddi Championship
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian men’s and women’s teams finished in third place at the Asian Kabaddi Championship 2017 on Sunday.
Iran’s men team failed to qualify for the final match after losing to Pakistan 28-24.
Iran and South Korea secured the third place together.
Powerhouse India won the title in the men’s section after defeating Pakistan 36-22.
Iran’s women outfit also lost to South Korea 17-14 in the competition’s semi-final and came third with Sri Lanka.
Indian women’s team also lifted the trophy after humbling South Korea 42-20 in the final.
The competitions were held in Gorgan, Iran from Nov. 23 to 26.
