The report comes against the backdrop of Iran’s growing trade interactions with other countries since the coming into force of the 2015 nuclear deal, known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

Tehran and the Group 5+1 (Russia, China, the US, Britain, France, and Germany) reached the deal on July 14, 2015 and started implementing it on January 16, 2016.

The comprehensive nuclear agreement terminated all nuclear-related sanctions imposed on Iran.
