Iran’s Sarkhosh Wins Silver at IBSF World Championship

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Amir Sarkhosh from Iran finished in second place at the IBSF World Amateur Championship on Monday.

The Iranian representative lost to Indian Pankaj Advani 8-2 in the final match.

Ehsan Heydarinejad also won a bronze medal in the competition held in Doha, Qatar.

A total of 88 cueists from 36 countries, including four from Iran, participated in the men’s event while 54 participants from 27 countries, three of them from Iran, took part in the masters competition.

The IBSF World Snooker Championship (also known as the World Amateur Snooker Championship) is the premier non-professional snooker tournament in the world.

The event series is sanctioned by the International Billiards and Snooker Federation.
