Iran Match Will Be Decisive, Morocco coach Renard Says
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Morocco coach Herve Renard says their first match against Iran national football team will be very crucial.
Morocco has been drawn against Iran, Spain and Portugal in Group B of the 2018 World Cup.
Renard set his sights on their opener against Iran as a potential difference-maker in his team's campaign.
"Our first match against Iran will be decisive... It looks difficult on paper but nothing is impossible in football,” Renard said.
“We have to believe in ourselves and continue with the same dynamic... it's going to be marvelous," he added.
The FIFA World Cup Russia 2018 will run from June 14 to July 15.
Iran will play Morocco in its opening match on June 15 at the Krestovsky Stadium in Saint Petersburg.
