Three People Killed in East Afghanistan’s Back-to-Back Blasts

TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Three people were killed and eight others injured as a result of three consecutive blasts in Jalalabad, the capital of eastern Nangarhar province on Saturday, Afghan media reported.

The first explosion happened in a Rickshaw near Sultanzoy Market in the fourth district of Jalalabad Municipality followed by two more blasts. The first blast inflicted no casualties while the last two left three people dead and eight others injured, Kabul-based Pajhwok Afghan News Agency reported.

Attaullah Khogyani, a spokesman for Nangarhar’s governor said the explosion occurred near the Enakas Radio Television building but no damage was inflicted neither on the building nor the private TV station employees.

According to another reliable source, the second blast happened when security forces arrived at the site. One policeman of National Directorate of Security (NDS) was killed and three personnel were injured.

Eyewitnesses have reported death of one people and injury of three others.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack yet.
