Nikkhah Bahrami was excluded from Team Melli after former president of Iran Basketball Federation Mahmoud Mashhoon announced that they’re going to bring new generation of basketball players.
Now, Tabatabaei has said he will pave the way for the captain to return to Team Melli.
According to him, Nikkhah Bahrami is a member of Iran national basketball team in the match against Kazakhstan in the Asian Qualifiers for FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019, slated for Feb. 22.
Tabatabaei also said Hamed Haddadi has no problem to play for Iran national basketball team after he left Team Melli ahead of the match against Qatar in late November.
