Visitors to Isfahan Music Museum are surprised by the variety of national and ethnic Persian musical instruments inside the museum. This wonderful place is equipped with many instruments that do not exist even in Europe or other continents.

This museum displays Kamancheh (supposed to be the grandparent of the modern musical instrument the violin), Tar (supposedly the forefather of the guitar), drum-like instruments such as Tonbak and Daf which are loved mostly by the foreign tourists, Ney, Santour, Harp and many other traditional Persian musical instruments.

The descriptions are written in both English and Persian languages. After a guided individual or group tour, your visit will hone to perfection by small, friendly performances of traditional love songs and Persian poetry by modern masters. IMM was established in 2015 with enormous efforts and dedication of its founders. World famous VIPs such as the director of Louvre Museum have also had the chance of watching live traditional Iranian music in this fantastic museum. During the short period after its inauguration, this museum has the honor of receiving two international awards, the most recent from the International Council of Museums (ICOM) for being the best private museum in Iran.
