Persepolis Defeats Sanat Naft: IPL
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Persepolis football team defeated Sanat Naft 3-0 in Iran Professional League (IPL) on Wednesday.
Farshad Ahmadzadeh opened the scoring in the 13th minute and Ali Alipour scored a brace in the 27th and 56th minutes in the match held in Abadan’s Takhti Stadium.
Earlier on the day, Tractor Sazi edged past Gostaresh Foolad 2-1 in Tabriz derby.
Milad Zeniedpour gave Gostaresh Foolad a lead in the 33rd minute but Ehsan Pahlavan equalized the match in the 76th minute and Mehdi Kiani scored the winner in the dying moments of the match.
Persepolis cemented its place in the top of the table 54 points.
Zob Ahan sits second with 38 points and one game in hand.
