Iran to Participate at Ekaterinburg Grand Slam with Two Judokas
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Saeid Mollaei and Javad Mahjoub will represent Iran in the 2018 Ekaterinburg Grand Slam in Russia.
The two-man team will be headed by Mohammad Mansouri.
Mollaei will take part at the -81kg weight category and Mahjoub compete at +100kg.
The Iranians have won two gold medals in Dusseldorf and Prague, respectively.
Mollaei seized a gold medal in Dusseldorf Grand Slam in late February and Mahjoub won a gold medal one week later in European Open in Prague.
The 2018 Ekaterinburg Grand Slam will bring 262 judokas from 34 nations together.
The two-day competition will kick off on March 17.
