‘Opportunists’ Expelled from Iran’s Former Embassy Building in Germany
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Qassemi said the former building of the country’s embassy in Bonn, Germany, has been retaken from “opportunists” who resided there illegally.
“After follow-up efforts and in a rapid response operation by the German police, the individuals who had been illegally residing in the former building of the Iranian embassy in Bonn in recent days were expelled.”
The building has been handed over to the Iranian Consulate General in Frankfurt, he added.
“These opportunist and adventurous individuals were four in number,” the spokesman said, adding that they had taken advantage of the building being unoccupied in recent years, and resided there illegally and without permission for a few days.
