Iran’s Sport, Youth Ministry Signs MoU with Turkmenistan
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Iran Ministry of Sport and Youth and Turkmenistan Sports and Youth Affairs Ministry penned a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on Tuesday to expand sports cooperation.
The two countries signed 13 memoranda of understanding (MoUs) in different fields in a ceremony attended by Iranian President Hassan Rouhani and his Turkmen counterpart, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow.
Iranian Minister of Sport and Youth Masoud Soltanifar was also present in the signing ceremony.
Rouhani arrived in Ashgabat on Tuesday morning at the head of a high-ranking delegation.
Speaking after the ceremony of signing 13 pacts between Tehran and Ashgabat, Rouhani said: “Very constructive and effective negotiations were held between the authorities of the two countries, and we discussed economic, cultural and political issues, making good decisions that will benefit both nations”.
