Saipa Moves Second in Iran Professional League
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Saipa football team defeated already relegated Siahjamegan 3-0 in Iran Professional League (IPL) on Friday.
Ali Daei’s team leapfrogged Esteghlal of Tehran and Zob Ahan in the table.
Omid Khaledi (16th), Ali Gholizadeh (39th) and Hossein Kamyab (90th) scored for Saipa.
Zob Ahan sits in the second with 50 points, one point above Zob Ahan and two points clear of Esteghlal.
Paykan and Esteghlal Khuzestan played out a goalless draw, Sepahan was held 1-1 by Sanat Naft, Sepidrood edged past Tractor Sazi 1-0 and Naft Tehran lost to Padideh 1-0 in other matches.
