Saudi Airport in Jizan Hit by Yemeni Ballistic Missile

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Yemeni forces targeted a Saudi airport in the kingdom’s southern border region of Jizan with a domestically-manufactured ballistic missile, a report said.

According to the report, carried by Saba news agency on Wednesday, the missile was fired at Jizan region’s airport.

The attack came several hours after Yemeni forces had targeted a power plant in the kingdom's Najran region.

According to a Yemeni military source, the missile successfully hit its target.

Such attacks come in retaliation for the Riyadh regime’s relentless airstrikes against the impoverished Arab country.

Yemen’s defenseless people have been under massive attacks by the coalition for over three years but Riyadh has reached none of its objectives in Yemen so far.

Since March 2015, Saudi Arabia and some of its Arab allies have been carrying out deadly airstrikes against the Houthi Ansarullah movement in an attempt to restore power to fugitive former president Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi, a close ally of Riyadh.

Over 14,000 Yemenis, including thousands of women and children, have lost their lives in the deadly military campaign.
