Cleric Warns US of Defeat from Iran

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – A top Iranian cleric denounced the US attempts to mobilize its allies against Muslims, warning that any wrong move against Iran will end in the enemy’s humiliating defeat.

Addressing worshippers in Tehran on Friday, Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Movahedi Kermani took a swipe at the US government for its efforts to receive support from Europe, Saudi Arabia and its “servant Israel” for damaging Islam and Muslims.

However, he underlined, Iran has no concern thanks to its Army and the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC).

The enemies had better to know that any military action against Iran will make them suffer defeat and “a heavy slap in the face”, Ayatollah Movahedi Kermani said.

His comments came after Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei said the US government is aware of the crushing response it will have to face in case of taking military action against Iran, reiterating that the time of hit and run is over.

The US is seeking a way to evade the costs of standing against Iran and place them on regional countries, Ayatollah Khamenei said, reminding certain regional countries that if they confront Iran, “they will definitely suffer blows and defeat.”
