Iran to Face Vietnam at AFC Women’s Futsal Championship Semis
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran will play Vietnam at the 2018 AFC Women’s Futsal Championship semi-final on Thursday.
The Iranian team defeated China 4-2 in the competition’s quarter-final at the Bangkok Arena thanks to goals from Fereshteh Karimi (2nd minute), Nasimeh Gholami (16th minute), Fatemeh Etedadi (21st minute) and Sara Shirbeigi (37th minute).
Tian Jiao and Zhang Yue scored for the Chinese team in the 3rd and 9th minutes respectively.
Iran will meet Vietnam, who edged past Indonesia 2-1, in the semi-final on Thursday.
Japan and host Thailand will also face in another semi-final.
