Iran Energy Minister in Germany for Talks

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian Energy Minister Reza Ardekanian travelled to Germany on Monday to weigh plans for environmental and energy cooperation between the two countries.

Ardekanian is planned to hold talks with Germany’s Federal Minister for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety Svenja Schulze and Federal Minister of Germany for Economic Affairs and Energy Peter Altmaier during the visit.

In addition to meetings with German officials, the Iranian minister will take part in IFAT, known as the world’s leading trade fair for water, sewage, waste and raw materials management, in Munich on May 14-18.

In 2016, Germany launched a plan for long-term cooperation with solar companies and industry associations in Iran to develop renewable energy strategies based on its experiences.
