Igor Kolakovic: Victory over Argentina Gave Iran Breather
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran national volleyball team's coach Igor Kolakovic says that win over Argentina gave Team Melli a breather.
Iran defeated Argentina 3-2 (21-25, 25-22, 25-22, 24-26, 15-9) in San Juan in Week 2 of the Volleyball National League (VNL) on Saturday.
“This victory is very important for us, especially because of the full house and hundreds of spectators supporting Argentina,” Kolakovic said in the post-match news conference.
“It was very difficult coming from two defeats, so this victory gave us a breather in the competition,” he added.
Iran will play Italy in the early hours of Sunday.
