Iran’s Omid Noorafkan Joins SC Charleroi

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Esteghlal prodigy midfielder Omid Noorafkan joined Belgium’s SC Charleroi.

According to Belgium media, Noorafkan has signed a two-year contract with SC Charleroi reportedly worth €250.000.

Noorafkan, who has represented Iran at U-17 and U-20 levels, made his senior international debut in March 2018, aged 20, in a friendly match against Sierra Leone.

Mehdi Bayat, Iranian sporting director of SC Charleroi, has already signed his countrymen Kaveh Rezaei and Ali Gholizadeh.

Royal Charleroi Sporting Club (RCSC), known the Zebras, is a Belgian football club based in the city of Charleroi, in the province of Hainaut.

Charleroi, founded in 1904, plays in the Belgian Pro League and its current spell at the highest level in Belgian football started in the 2012–13 season.
