Raul Lozano: Iran Put Up A Much Better Performance than China
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – China volleyball coach Raul Lozano says the Iranian team played better than his team in all aspects.
Iran defeated China 3-0 (25-19, 25-20, 25-15) in the FIVB Volleyball Nations League in Ufa on Friday.
“We did not play very well, unlike our opponent, who had a great match. Our opponents began to pressure us from the very beginning. They played well on the block, in the attack, and overall put up a much better performance than us,” China coach Raul Lozano said in the post-match news conference.
“Against Iran some of the players were in a bad physical condition because of jet lag, but by tomorrow (Saturday) we should be capable of overcoming that,” the Argentine added.
Also, China captain Ji Daoshuai said, “This game didn’t go the way we expected it to, and we’ll need to review the mistakes made. We’re going to draw the necessary conclusions from our game as to what needs to be corrected in it.”
