Islamic Jihad Condemns Israeli Settlers’ Storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement denounced the “aggressive” move by Israeli settlers to storm the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound under the support of Zionist forces on Sunday, warning of “big pervasive tension” if aggression against the holy Muslim site does not end.
In a statement on Sunday, the Islamic Jihad Movement underscored that Israeli settlers and Zionist colonialists have no right to enter Al-Aqsa Mosque, slamming their move to pour into the mosque as an “aggressive measure” that amounts to “religious terrorism”.
The movement called for immediate action against the storming of Al-Aqsa by Zionists, warning that continued Israeli aggression against the mosque will result in a big tension that would plague everywhere.
Those hurrying to save Israel from the campaign of the Great March of Return should know that it is impossible to remain silent on the “measures of the terrorist Israeli cabinet against al-Quds and Al-Aqsa Mosque,” it added.
On Sunday morning, hundreds of Israeli settlers stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound under the support of Israeli police to celebrate the Jewish holiday of Tisha B’Av, local sources reported.
Th settlers stormed the mosque in the form of successive groups through the Moroccan Gate and toured throughout the compound.
