Friendly: Iran Olympic Team Beats Iraq
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran U-23 football team edged past Iraq 1-0 in a friendly match on Sunday.
Reza Jabireh scored the only goal of the match in the 76th minute.
Iran had lost to Iraq U-23 football team 2-1 in its first friendly match on Wednesday.
Zlatko Kranjcar’s team will also take on China Olympic team in a warm-up game on August 9 and then will fly straight to Indonesia to participate at the 2018 Asian Games.
Iran has been drawn with Myanmar, North Korea and Saudi Arabia in Group F of the Asian Games.
