Syrian Gov’t Forces Liberate Last Villages in Northwestern Daraa (+Video)

TEHRAN (Tasnim) - The Syrian government troops took control of the last villages in the northwestern Daraa province from Daesh (ISIL or ISIS) terrorists, as a result push out terrorists from the entire province, a military source said.

"The Syrian army has completely routed the terrorists from Daraa province after taking control of the Yarmouk Basin in the northwest of the province," the source said, Sputnik reported.

Earlier this month a few hundred militants and their family members were evacuated from the Syrian territory due to a government offensive operation in the southern regions of the country.

Since June 19, the Syrian army has been conducting the operation in Daraa, which borders Jordan and the Israeli-occupied side of Syria’s Golan Heights.

A video publish by Syrian war media on Wednesday shows the last stages of Syrian army military operation in two villages of Kouya and Bayt Ara in the Yarmouk basin and their mop op operation in the area.
