Heads of Caspian Sea States Release Sturgeon Babies as Sign of Friendship


TEHRAN (Tasnim) - ​​​​​​​Heads of the five Caspian Sea littoral states released sturgeon babies in Caspian Sea as a sign of friendship and solidarity.

In the ceremony that was held on Sunday after Caspian Sea Littoral States Summit in Kazakhstan, the presidents released the sturgeon babies and posed for photos on the shores of the Caspian.

The Iranian president was in Kazakhstan on Sunday for the Caspian summit that concluded with a long-awaited convention on the legal regime of the large lake.

The five littoral states - Iran, Russia, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan and the Republic of Azerbaijan- also signed six other agreements in the summit.
