Humam Tariq to Fill Big Boots of Server Djeparov: AFC
TEHRAN (Tasnim) - Humam Tariq will be able to fill the big boots left by the departure of two-time Asian Player of the Year Server Djeparov. A challenge Tariq will surely relish.
Tariq's latest challenge will be to adapt to life in Tehran as he embarks on a new adventure, having joined AFC Champions League quarter-finalist Esteghlal.
His first test will come in two weeks when the Islamic Republic of Iran giant takes on 2011 Asian champion Al Sadd in the first leg of the last eight.
Esteghlal coach Winfried Schafer will be hoping that his new signing will be able to fill the big bootsof Djeparov, the-afc.com wrote.
In January next year with the world's eyes turned to the AFC Asian Cup, Tariq will get a chance to test himself against the best of the best in the continent.
