Iran B Finishes Runner-Up at AVC Cup
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran B volleyball team lost to Qatar at the 6th AVC Cup for Men final match at the University of Taipei (Tianmu) Gymnasium on Wednesday.
Behrouz Ataei’s boys finished in second place after losing to the Qatari team 3-2 (23–25, 21–25, 25–22, 25–18,15–10).
Earlier in the day, Japan grabbed the bronze medal after pulling off an epic come-from-behind 3-2 (21-25, 20-25, 32-30, 29-27, 17-15) victory over host Chinese Taipei.
The so-called 2018 AVC Cup for Men was the sixth edition of the Asian Men's Volleyball Cup, a biennial international volleyball tournament organized by the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) with Chinese Taipei Volleyball Association (CTVA).
The tournament was held in Taipei from August 9-15.
