Iran Advances to World Wheelchair Basketball Championships Semis
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran qualified for the semi-final round of the 2018 World Wheelchair Basketball Championships.
Team Melli defeated Turkey 76-69 on Wednesday.
Morteza Ebrahimi led Iran with 23 points and Ozgur Gurbulak was Turkey’s best scorer with 21 points.
Iran will face England in semi-final round.
The International Wheelchair Basketball Federation (IWBF) World Championships for both men and women are taking place from August 16 to 26 in Hamburg, Germany.
The 2018 IWBF World Championships feature 16 men’s teams and 12 women’s teams vying for the world title.
