Iran Had A Great Play in Wheelchair Basketball World C’ships: Coach

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran wheelchair basketball coach Mohammadreza Dastyar is satisfied with his team’s performance in the World Championships in Hamburg, Germany.

Iran finished in fourth place after suffering a 68-57 loss to title-holder Australia in the bronze medal match.

“Australia played well. It’s a great team that won the previous tournament,” Dastyar said.

“We had a great play in the games. I think we lost the bronze medal by the Australian counterattacks. Unfortunately, we then lost control of the game and the whole match,” he added.

Britain grabbed the gold medal after defeating USA 79-62 in the final match.
