Iran Volleyball Team Eases Past Qatar to Reach Asian Games Final
TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iran reached the men’s volleyball final of the 18th Asian Games on Thursday with an easy win over Qatar.
Igor Kolakovic’s men overpowered Qatar in straight sets (25-23, 25-19, 25-18) at the GBK - Volley Indoor.
South Korea also edged past Chinese Taipei 3-2 (20-25, 25-20, 25-16, 20-25, 15-12) in another semifinals.
Iran will meet South Korea in the final match on Sept. 1.
The 2018 Asian Games, officially known as the 18th Asian Games and also known as Jakarta Palembang 2018, is a pan-Asian multi-sport event. It is underway from August 18 to September 2 in the Indonesian cities of Jakarta and Palembang.
The athletes compete in 465 events across 40 sports and 67 disciplines.
