Yemeni Ballistic Missile Hits Saudi Base in Asir

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Yemeni army forces fired a domestically-manufactured ballistic missile at a military base in Saudi Arabia’s southwestern border region of Asir in retaliation for the Saudi regime’s relentless military aggression against the impoverished Arab country.

Yemen’s Saba news agency reported on Monday that Mustahdath camp in Dhahran al-Janwob in Asir had been targeted with a short-range Badr-1 missile.

The missile hit its target precisely and also inflicted heavy damage on the camp, killing and injuring several Saudi soldiers, the report added.

Yemen’s defenseless people have been under massive attacks by the coalition for over three years but Riyadh has reached none of its objectives in Yemen so far.

Since March 2015, Saudi Arabia and some of its Arab allies have been carrying out deadly airstrikes against the Houthi Ansarullah movement in an attempt to restore power to fugitive former president Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi, a close ally of Riyadh.

Over 14,000 Yemenis, including thousands of women and children, have lost their lives in the deadly military campaign.
